The Steak Pit is one of Toronto's Oldest Steak and Rib houses. We opened our doors December 17, 1948 as a small family owned business, appropriately called The Small Fry. Right from the beginning we based our business on value, quality and excellent service.
Through much attention to detail and the selection of only the finest quality meats, we gained our reputation for our tender, savory Steaks and Spare Ribs.
In 1956, due to our increasing popularity, we expanded our facilities and formally adopted our name The Steak Pit.
The Steak Pit tradition and reputation developed by my father in early years, continues to thrive because of the same time tested methods and that that special personal touch.
